SetShare is operated and developed by CoderZ Kft. This privacy policy explains how we use the data we collect from you.

### What do we collect?

- your e-mail address

- your name

- if you use an external service to authenticate, a unique id associated with the account you used

- profile picture

- content you submit (e.g. chat messages)

- your IP address

- the model and operating system of the device you use

**Audio and video data won't be recorded.**

### How do we collect this data?

- personal authorization information is provided directly by you or by an external service (like Google) upon registration and authorization

- we archive the chat messages you submit (a moderator is able to wipe them)

- your IP address is being logged by our servers when you access the application

- device information and IP address will be sent to our self-hosted monitoring application with a stack trace when your client runs into an error _(this information won't necessarily identify you, but worth mentioning)_

### How we use this data?

- your e-mail address is only used for authorization purposes (including password reset)

- your full name and profile picture will show up when you're a member of a room

- your device information will be used to help identify issues with the system, e.g. a region has high response time, streams having issues or client issues, like audio problems when using a specific browser on a specific operating system

We don't share this data with other third party organizations.

Data collected by external authorization services are out of our scope, please refer to their privacy policy.

### How do we store your data?

We are committed to take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, this includes restricting access of production instances to a select few colleagues and refusing to store sensitive information in cleartext, and of course, only storing encrypted backups. We believe we have taken the appropriate measures to prevent data theft, but no system is perfect, we can not guarantee unauthorized access will never happen. The issue and bug report system is accessible by all our colleagues. Data stored here won't identify you just by itself.

### How long we keep this data?

Your personal account can be deleted any time by going through the account deletion procedure, which can be found in the account management dialog. We will add your account's unique ID to an ignore list, which will prevent restoring your information from a backup. Chat messages you've sent in the past will be kept, but anonymized. These can be deleted by a room's moderator or operator any time.

IP addresses logged by our servers are only stored until the logs exceed the set quota.

Device information sent along issue reports will be deleted after the issue has been fixed.

We store the last 500 hourly backups.

### What rights do you have?

We'd like to make sure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. You are entitled to the following:

- the right to access: You have the right to request for copies of your personal data. An automated system to download an archive will be added shortly.

- the right to rectification: You have the right to request us to correct any information you believe is incorrect. You also have the right to request us to complete information you believe is incomplete.

- the right to erasure: You have the right to request us to delete your personal data

- the right to restrict processing: You have the right to request us to stop processing your personal data.

- the right to object processing: You have the right to object processing of your data.

- the right to data portability: You have the right to request we transfer the data we collected to another organization or directly to you.

### Your browser's local storage and cookies

We use your browser's local storage to store your preferences, and cookies to keep you logged in.

This privacy policy only applies to SetShare. If you open a link posted in the chat or somewhere else, you should read their privacy policy.

We will update this policy when needed, and the application will automatically request you to accept the changes. The last update was on 2021. 01. 26.
